| Volunteer of the Month KAREN IPPOLITI Has been on the Big Island for 5 1/2 yrs. Grew up in Bethlehem, PA, moved to Hawaii for a previous career as a dolphin trainer, currently a personal trainer and fitness instructor, also starting a Fitness Adventure/Personal training business - Dakine Fitness. She LOVE's Hawaii and have been grateful to have a group like HIP here. "For me, I appreciate being able to live in Kona while still having the benefit of being connected to the LGBT community. The people involved with HIP are pretty much awesome;) Friendships and involvement in the community has gotten me excited about volunteering. The experiences I've had as a volunteer have been so positive and have inspired me to become more involved. " |
